Things have started to get back to normal around here. Well, in a manner of speaking that is. Last night was hell. For some reason, Arnie the Wondercat, decided that he would pounce on us while sleeping over and over and over and over again. No matter how many times I tumbled him off the bed to the floor he would just pounce again. Finally, I reached the limit, grabbed the annoying little furbeast and removed him from the bedroom altogether. Then, just when I thought I would finally get some sleep, I fell into one of those terrific coughing fits that won't let up for any reason. After about an hour of that, Alex decided to go sleep on the couch. I finally fell asleep sometime around 7am and then had to get up to go get my check at work and run errands before the bank closed.
Even though I still feel crappy from this cold, it was good to get out and go about the normal daily routines. It almost felt alien at first. I actually had to remember how to put gas in my car since I hadn't done it since before the holidays. Seems weird, I know, but when I don't do the normal things for a while, it seems like I have to relearn how to do them at all. Maybe it's just me...
Tonight, we're off to dinner and a movie. Gonna get some grub on at the Texas Roadhouse and then go see Johnny Depp tear up the screen as Sweeney Todd. Should be fun!

I'm still in holiday mode, but I really dread dismantling all the ornaments and really cleaning up after the kids. I dread it for the work, but also all the reminders that they're gone again.
