So I had to go to court today to, finally, take care of some long standing court type business. My appointment was at 9:30am. I left a half hour early even though the court house is only about 7 blocks from my house. There are about four parking spaces for the entire court house so getting there early meant I would have time to drive around and around and around and around and around until one of them became available. Which it eventually did so I was good.
Then, entering the building, I had to go through the security checkpoint. Apparently terrorism is high in Kenosha, WI so there are two armed guards at the main entrance and a walk through metal detector. I placed my purse on the conveyor and walked through. I always hold my breath a little going through these things. I don't know why. I'm not a terrorist...least, not that I'm aware of...
I got got through without setting off any alarms. I had to find the appropriate court room which was well hidden near the exit on the second floor. Then I waited.....................................................................................................................................................................................................and waited..........................................................................................................................and waited..................................................................................................and, OH!! They finally called me in. Five minutes later I was done. They scheduled another court date in August and that was that.
When I went out to my car there was another person driving around and around and around and around in the hopes of getting a parking spot. I'm such a stinker. I fumbled around in my purse for a few minutes just to make her go around again before I finally pulled out and let her have the spot. Hey, if I had to make the route, so does she!
