I was all excited when I got home late last night and saw that my new phone had arrived. I decided to get an LG VU and this thing has loads of stuff it can do so I wanted to learn how to do it right away. I got it started up but by then it was too late to really get online and see what the features were so I left it until today.
Well, you know what they say about the best plans and all that...
When I started up my computer I was hit with some vicious and tenacious malware. It's called System Alert Virus 2008. This thing looks like an antivirus alert but what it really is is relentless pop ups with no way out which try to make you buy the full version of some blasted anti-virus software. I couldn't find it anywhere on my computer so a manual fix wasn't possible. I had to search the web for information, all the while being bombarded by these incessant pop ups every 10 seconds. After two hours...yes, two hours...I found what I was looking for and downloaded a malware eater that found it and killed it. Then I had to run a full scan and download updates for my system which took another two hours. I spent all damn day doing this and now I'm so over looking at this machine!
After all that I did get to see some specs on my phone and I have to say I love it! It's way cool...but more than that it's functional and just what I needed!
