For two days now I've been hobbling around like...well...like someone who hobbles. Over this past winter I twisted my right ankle at least five times. I didn't break it or even sprain it, just twisted it enough in the slightest way to make it painful. Now there's a tendon at the back of my heel that's hard and takes time to stretch out and warm up. If that wasn't enough, two night ago, one of my cats had one of those cute cat spasms when we were trying to get it in the cat carrier and she accidentally slashed the bottom of my left foot. The good foot. Now, there's the slightest of scratches there but it is just right in a place that rubs against the inside of my show so it hurts. So I am hobbling.
I know there's an appointment with the foot and ankle doc in my future. I'll have to get that tendon thingy looked at because it doesn't seem to want to get any better on it's own. It feels better some days and the not so much the next. Sheesh!
On a different note...
Over the weekend we had some excitement. Well, if you can call it excitement...
At some point some water from our bath tub went through the ceiling to my sister's kitchen below. This has caused us to have a summit meeting second only to some political meeting of the minds. Yesterday, my sister and her son in law had to come up and look at our bathroom. The problem is the tub needs to be recaulked. But the rigmarole we had to go through was epic. We had to figure hide our cats in the bedroom when they came up. You see, we are allowed one cat. We have two. Thus far, we have managed to keep this a secret from my sister/landlord even though other people in our family know. It's also the reason we were trying to get Belle into the carrier. Hence, the foot slashing incident.
What came of this may be a very good thing though. There was talk of a complete bathroom overhaul complete with new shower. We don't have a shower now and I would love to have a shower!
Now if I could only get them to redo the kitchen!
