Ugh...last night I felt like crap. So, it was the second day of eating solid food for dinner and it hit me like a ton of bricks. Thing is, I made healthy choices for dinner on both nights, nothing horrible and I only ate that one meal each day. Now, I know that the reintroduction of solid food has to be hard on the system but I think this was more than that. This was the reintroduction of regular processed food. Even though my choice were "healthy" by usual standards, I know they had to contain a lot of preservatives and whatnot because, face it, all of our food contains that crap.
There is a definite case for buying and eating organic products. This was evidenced by my heart burn, bloated feeling, gassiness and overall upset stomach last night. I can't afford to buy all organic products. They are still over priced and not budget friendly. But I can "sprinkle" my usual grocery list with some organic products. And I will.
I guess another lesson I've learned in all of this is that I have to be ever mindful of what I'm eating and listen to my body. Clearly, it tells me what's good for it and what's not! You'd think I would have known that before this but, hey, it's never too late to start!
