GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR....

I am pissed. A few months ago, one of my staff, who I'd always held in high regard, walked off the job without giving me notice leaving me high and dry. I survived and managed to replace her quickly with someone even more competent. In spite of that, I supported her decision to leave and wished her well when she called me after the fact. The problem is, she went to work for a group home provider that we often use when we have clients who need residential placement. Still, I supported her. Then the shit hit the fan. Turns out that she is now the person my case managers have to go to when we refer people to them. She has put up road blocks in every turn. She stalled on several referrals leaving us to make last minute changes in plans. She questioned how the case managers were doing their jobs and HOW they were doing there jobs. But the last straw was just now. She called me at home, after hours, on my private line to question whether or not we knew what procedures were supposed to used to do our jobs.

I don't usually get angry. I can hold my emotions down at work in order to maintain a professional relationship with the providers we must use. But this time, I lost it. I let her have it. She got one sentence out, the one that questioned my abilities as a supervisor and that was it. I yelled for a full five minutes. Then silence and then she said "I think this has all been just a misunderstanding..."

Yeah, misunderstand this, bitch! I cannot believe she had the audacity to call me at home, after hours, to bitch at me. I get a good deal of bitching on the clock and I certainly don't need it at home. And the idea that someone who is supposed to represent a company that relies on referrals from the agency I work for just kills me. Is she for real? She doesn't see that could cause some serious issues between my agency and hers? Interesting ego there, lady. Apparently someone had a big cup of herself for breakfast this morning. Tomorrow should be a very interesting day. And all I can say is, thank hell that this is short work week. I'd hate to be this homocidal for the holidays!
