Remind me again...why do I do this?

Today it was pretty much brought home to me that I don't have it in to work in a system so heavily loaded with buearacratic red tape. I feel like I'm drowing in procedure and protocol and quality improvement and corrections and specialists and approvals and authorizations. Our state government has effectively taken the human out of human services. And that's something I don't think I can tolerate much longer. I may have to make some big decisions regarding my employment soon. There's no reason for me to live with this kind of stress over things I cannot control nor can I change.
