Once in a while I like to give myself a day off. I get paid vacation days at work which I can use at will but usually I save them all up for one big time out. This week I decided to use a couple just because. I am giving myself tomorrow. It's kind of fun knowing that I don't have to get up at the crack of dawn, don't have to answer a bajillion questions, and don't have to put on my "professional" face. I don't have any plans - just one small errand to run. So the day is mine.
Oh there are a thousand things I could do if I wanted to. I could sort through the two boxes of stuff in my kitchen that has been haunting me and taking up space for months. I could fix my vacuum cleaner which I've been avoiding for a week now. I could take the curtains down and give them a wash. But I don't have to. So other than that errand my only other set in stone plan is to sleep in.
I think I'll take full advantage of my day off gift to myself and take a walk downtown to our new museum. I haven't gone since it opened and it might be a good way to spend the day. Or I might not. Haha! I love days like that.
I'm giving myself another day off gift next Friday too. I haven't even begun to think of what I might not do then!

FSGM, maybe next Friday you can sleep in, dreaming about the "bromance-free" episode of Survivor that you watched the night before.
Well, maybe…

i need to do that soon, getting very burned out
Paul...I hope you're right. That last episode gave me the shivers! LOL
Prin...you'll do fine! You might need a cocktail and a nap after the first day or two but you'll get back into the swing of it in no time! :)
Van...do it! I've found that once the burn out sets in it takes more than one day to get rid of it.
