I was reading another blog over the "The Local" and came across what has now become my most favorite Swedish saying ever! Full fart! Fart actually means "speed" and to say "full speed" as in "full speed ahead" you say "Full Fart!" Of course, the word "fart" has a whole other meaning here but that's what makes this my new favorite phrase.
Another reason this is my new fav is that I have been stressing over my job and what to do and it's been making me one crabby Polish girl lately. Then I spent some time reading some of my friends blogs and I realized that I am only stressing because I am at the jumping off place in my life. I mean, I am at the point where it is not enough for me to just have a job - I want to do something that allows me to live "full fart". I've been stressing about a possible cut in pay, what that would mean, how would I live...blah, blah, blah.
I read Esther's blog everyday and I envy her her lifestyle. She lives in Niger, though she is from Sweden, and she helps teach the locals how to grow sustainable food products where they live, this alleviating any hunger or famine. I admire her greatly! She lives "full fart". http://esthergarvi.com/
I also read Van's blog everyday. His life has been full of emotional twists and turns and financial unrest but he keeps going and through it all he seems to know what is most important in life - his family and his friends. He also shares some of the funniest links on the net I've ever seen. Van lives "full fart".

Then there's Lilly. She lives in Sweden and shares her new adventures in a great, funny way. She's taking on a new land, new language, new culture and doing it with grace and humor. She's a "full fart" girl, for sure! http://swedecheese.blogspot.com
So what the heck am I stressing about? I know I want to grab life by the horns and take it on, accepting what comes and enjoying the wild ride. There's no time like right now and I'm going to do it. Oh, I'm practical enough to know I need a job to pay the bills. I'll have one of those. But I won't let it become who I am. I won't be defined by what I do. I will live "full fart" and I have a feeling I'm going to love it!

Lol, life in Niger is teaching me "full fart" at a slow-slow pace! :-D But you're right, it's full fart, full of living. Wherever we are, our days are full of little moments that make them all precious!
