Well, lookee here, I am over the hump and into the last half of my ten day juice fast. Today, in addition to my usual Mean Green, I made a particularly delicious pineapple, orange, carrot and kiwi concoction that I have to say is probably my most favorite creation to date.
Let's recap what's been happening -
I started this thing on Sunday. On Tuesday morning I weighed myself and I lost almost five pounds. Yes, five pounds in about two and a half days. Yesterday, I weighed myself again and I was down a full ten pounds! Holy moly, I lost ten pounds in five days without feeling hungry or even working out! My clothes fit better, my skin looks better, I sleep better, I breathe better and I have a ton of energy.
I know this juice fasting is extreme and I certainly couldn't do it forever but it is healthy due to the enormous amount of nutrients I'm getting. I do miss eating food. I'm not craving it just missing other flavors besides fruits and veggies. So, next week I will have something really good for dinner on Thursday. Something healthy but tasty. And I will enjoy it knowing that I have proven to myself that I can do this! I can be healthier and be in control.
That, for me, makes the next four days look like a cake walk.
